The LaserSpeed® sensor was one of the first non-contact length and speed gauges on the market. LS Pro 9500 EVEN BETTER THAN THE LS Pro 8500

The LS Pro 9500 series is based on the LS Pro 8500 technology with the additional feature that it can measure from true zero to very low to maximum application speed in both forward and reverse directions. This is achieved by using a proprietary optical system in combination with special electronics that automatically determines the direction of travel of the product while maintaining the same high accuracy as the LS Pro 8500. The LS Pro 9500 gauge is well suited for applications where the product moves very slowly, such as continuous castors, for positioning control where the product stops and moves backwards and for applications where the product changes direction.

• Laser Doppler Velocimetry, eliminating slip and wear problems from contact rollers and tachometers.
• A wide range of measuring distances is available, from 300 mm to 1000 mm (12 in. to 39.4 in.) and measuring speeds up to 12,000 m/min (39,400 ft/min).
• The LaserSpeed is permanently calibrated and has no moving parts.
• With a repeatability of 99.98% the LaserSpeed is the best replacement for standard (measuring wheel) encoders.
